Removing epoxy coatings from a concrete substrate can be done in multiple ways. When using a walk-behind or ride-on scraper to remove epoxy coatings, tooling choice is critical.
Begin by setting your standard blade and blade holder aside. This applies to either a walk-behind or ride-on scraper. Fit your scraper with a Razor Blade Holder and a 1-inch blade. This video shows a National rider with the 7092 blade. This blade is 1″ x 8″ x .094″ and is designed for use with a Ride-on or walk-behind scraper.
This method of removal will peel back the epoxy coating with precision, leaving a bare concrete floor for a light grind.
