Heavy-Duty blades work on VCT, VAT, wood, tile, rubber, epoxy, elastomeric coatings, scraping thin-set, and glued ceramic.
The 6243 flat blade is a 4″ x 15″ x .094″ scraper blade that fits many of National’s scrapers. This blade is a great choice for removing glued-down carpet, VCT, VAT, rubber tile, cork, and re-scraping adhesive and elastomeric coatings.
National’s Heavy-Duty Blades are .094″ thick and great for use on our larger walk-behind scrapers and ride-on scrapers.
Pro Tip: If your scraper is struggling to remove the material, start by looking at your tooling. Is your scraper blade the correct size? The situation will dictate if the a 4″ x 15″ blade is working on your walk-behind or if you need to downsize to a 3″ x 6″.
