Rogue Troubleshooting: Tips from the Field

The Rogue walk-behind scraper just turned two! With hundreds now out in the field, we’ve picked up a few tips and tricks to help you get the most out of your machine. From setup to accessories, these small adjustments can make a big difference in performance, comfort, and efficiency.

Blade Choice Makes a Difference

The Rogue is 11.9 inches longer than the 6280HD, allowing us to integrate more advanced motor technology and a new blade design to match. The 6239-BU self-scoring blade, created specifically for the Rogue, measures 2” wide x 6” long x 0.094” thick.

This narrower profile increases downward force, improving soft goods removal, especially helpful for contractors who’ve struggled with traditional 3″ or 4″ blades. While this blade is optimized for the Rogue, it’s also compatible with select other models.

Getting Started: Power Check

We occasionally hear from new users who can’t get their Rogue to power on out of the box. Often, the internal GFCI breaker has tripped, this can happen during transport or when plugging into a GFCI-protected outlet.

Here’s how to reset it:

  1. Disconnect the power cord and remove the side weights.
  2. Remove the four bolts at the top and bottom of the handle.
  3. Loosen the base bolts and remove the top cover.
  4. Pop off the rear access panel.
  5. Reset the breaker, reassemble the machine, and you’re good to go.

Add More Weight for More Bite

The Rogue is built to hold up to three side weights per side, but ships with just one per side. Each additional 28 lb weight adds traction and head pressure for tougher removals. Add up to 112 lbs total for better bite and improved performance.

Transport Poles for Stair Access

Designed with mobility in mind, the Rogue can be disassembled for transport. Optional transport poles make it easy to carry the unweighted unit upstairs, into residential spaces, trailers, or tight access points. These are a great add-on for contractors regularly working in multi-level environments.
