National’s 5280 walk-behind scraper will remove the worst of today’s glued down floors, gummy commercial carpet, VCT, solid vinyl, radial rubber-tile, and sheet rubber. This soft goods scraper is a self-propelled forward and manually driven backwards.
This durable, 260lb machine is great for rental customers with limited transport, and tight working conditions. The compact design makes it ideal for use in tight spaces like residential spaces, and light commercial floors.
Features
The 5280 scraper is a step up from our 550 walk-behind. With a few more features and some more weight behind it, this scraper also has variable speed. Setting your transport and removal speed between 12-50 feet per minute allows you to fly through easy carpet or VCT removals.
Accessories
Additional accessories for this floor removal machine allow for use of specialty blades. The 6280-500 is a blade holder that swivels with the contours of the floor. For more consistent removal and to stay underneath the work, attach this blade holder to the front of your 5280 scraper.
The 6280-505 is a special blade holder for razor blades. The jaw is sized so less of the blade is captured in the holder. This makes the 52800 suitable for epoxy and adhesive re-scrape after the initial covering is removed.
